The iron worked fine when I tested it at home, but when I tried to use it (since it has dual voltage) in Europe, the prongs didn’t fit in the outlets. Then, I connected the iron to the converter, whereupon it fried the converter. So, not only didn’t I have an iron I could use, I was out my converter as well.

I thought this would be a great item for a recent trip but it proved too heavy.

We bought this little iron for a cruise. It took the wrinkles out of our clothes all week. Compact, doesn’t take much space in your suitcase. It did everything we wanted it to do.

I put an ironing mat on one end of my sewing table. Now with the help of this wonderful little iron I can press seams, etc. as I sew without having to haul out the big ironing board. I works great for quick clothing touch-ups as well. It is actually fun to use…this from a women who used to dread ironing. :) A++++ product

If you want to pack a full-size iron, it will do a better job. But, the the designed purposes of this iron are to cut down on size and iron. The SteamFast does both well. I don’t think an iron with steam could be much smaller. I also like the fact that mine came with a water measuring cup and storage bag that fit into my backpack.

It irons well and provides a decent amount of steam. Due to the size, it does not hold much water. Ironing will take a few minutes longer than with a full-size iron. I had to refill with water after about 3 to 4 shirts.

I will add that this iron does not get as hot as a regular iron does, so if you need the highest temperature settings from your home iron, then this may not meet your expectations.
